The Food People
Creative Direction & Styleguide
The transformation of a vast industrial warehouse into an inspirational foodie-themed event venue for The Food People Trends Event at Street Feast, London.
Trendspotters and industry experts, The Food People, scour the globe for exclusive and highly inspirational insider insights into emerging food and drink trends.
Their annual Food & Drink Trends Events reveal their predictions for the upcoming years, spanning culture and cuisine, and are supported by star speaker lineups - this event included experimental psychologist, Charles Spence; 3 Michelin Star Pastry Chef and author, Claire Clark; award-winning Peruvian chef and restaurateur, Martin Morales; and a number of other thought-leaders in food, retail, hospitality and design.
The latter-day 'streetfood revolution' set the theme for the event, with Hawker House, home of Street Feast, as the ideal space to celebrate the spontaneity and stories of the timeless streetfood trend.
For The Food People’s team to enhance the immersive street food experience at London's acclaimed Street Feast venue, I was delighted to delve into streetfood style to plan engaging touchpoints and storyful details to complete the attendee experience - a considered mix of makeshift and upcycled found objects and raw materials that evoke the improvised and unpretentious characteristics of streetfood society.
My research culminated in a creative direction document to guide inhouse production.
